We're always on the lookout for enthusiastic kitchen hands to help us achieve our daily production targets. Your daily tasks include assembling cookie sandwiches, preparing online orders for dispatch, weighing ingredients, washing dishes, general cleaning and packing cookies.
Our production hours are 6am till 4pm, Monday to Thursday. This is a casual position. Your hours will depend on the week's production requirements.
Experience in kitchen hand work is a plus, but not essential.
Lunch, tea and coffee is provided daily.

Butterbing is a young cookie wholesaler founded in 2014, specialising in brownie cookie sandwiches. We are a dynamic, grassroots and fast-growing company with a hunger for expansion and success. We’re an iconic Melbourne food brand and well known within the hospitality industry. Our product is predominantly sold to cafes, we work directly with our customers, and do not use distributors. We love what we do and genuinely enjoy coming to work to be part of Butterbing’s journey.
As Butterbing’s Victorian B2B Sales Representative, you’ll be responsible for your own sales procedures, prospecting and call cycle. For four days a week, you’ll be on the road visiting cafes, strengthening relationships with our customers and closing new opportunities. You’ll drive new business, responding to frequent warm leads as well as drumming up new business through cold calls. You develop and maintain a sales pipeline, from start to finish.
One day a week you’ll join the team at our Dandenong office. This role is suited to those who enjoy challenges and small business. You’ll be responsible for approximately 260 relationships and will need to manage your time effectively to perform well.
This position is full time, with flexible start and finish times to accommodate for other life commitments.
Butterbing team of 18 includes;
Production Team, who you’ll work closely with to anticipate production and sales demands.
Marketing Team, consisting of Marketing Manager, Social Media Coordinator and Photographer who’ll assist with marketing material promotions.
Sales Support Team, who will support your onboarding, assist with qualifying leads, pricing structures, and customer needs.
General Manager, who’ll work with you daily to help achieve budgets and learn the industry and customers we sell to.
LOCATION AND TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
You’ll spend the majority of your days within Metro Melbourne, and will visit nearby regional Victorian towns occasionally. Overnight travel is not required. Our office and production facility is located in Dandenong.
You’re an experienced sales person with a proven track record
You’re a dynamic, self-starter, who enjoys change and responsibility
You enjoy working in a small business and are a problem solver.
You’re experienced with call cycles, CRM software, and relationship management
You’re comfortable with teamwork, both helping and relying on your team for the good of a common goal
You’re confident, punctual and reliable
You’ve got a healthy dose of bravado and are persistent
